About the Artist

Kirsten Gibson has always been driven by a vibrant creative spark and a curiosity for how art and design shape the world around us. Recognized early for her talent, she was awarded a full-ride fine art scholarship to a premier women’s college in Raleigh while in high school. However, Kirsten chose a slightly noisier path—heading to The University of Alabama to soak in the traditions (and football Saturdays - Roll Tide!) of a large university while earning her Bachelor of Science in Business.

That blend of creative passion and sharp practical skill naturally guided her next steps. Kirsten deepened her understanding of spaces by earning a minor in Interior Design from Queens University and going on to become a licensed general contractor. Learning how to build, structure, and curate environments from the ground up gave her a unique eye for spatial harmony, texture, and scale.

Today, life has come full circle in the most rewarding way, and Kirsten has enthusiastically embraced her return to the canvas. Working fluidly across oil, acrylic, and watercolor, her true passion shines through in her bold, expressive abstract art, creating layered, captivating pieces designed to bring energy, warmth, and light into any space.

Kirsten lives and paints in Charlotte, North Carolina, alongside her husband, Bijah, their 3 sons, and their two black labs.
